Mission
The Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV is a LCME accredited, full-scale, four-year allopathic medical school that is an integral part of a vibrant, research-intensive public university. The medical school's mission is to improve access to high-quality health care in Nevada by increasing the number of physicians and trained specialists who are committed to serving the region. One of the primary goals of the Kerkorian School of Medicine is to provide diverse and medically underserved populations access to timely, high-quality health care. The accompanying academic health center serves as the core infrastructure for the entire medical community and generates top-quality research that spans the basic and clinical sciences.

Who can apply
Prerequisites for medical school application may be taken at a community college but must be completed separately from high school credit/diploma application and must be less than 10 years old at the time of graduation with a grade of C- or higher. CLEP, AP, or Audit coursework is not accepted.

- BiochemistryChoose any College/University level 100 or higher Biochemistry, preferably one that has General Chemistry and/or Organic Chemistry as a pre-req. *Some restrictions may apply, please see our website for details.
- BiologyChoose any College/University level 100 and higher biology, preferably human over plant or animal. The entire requirement is 3 biology courses, 1 must have a lab. *Some restrictions may apply, please see our website for details.

Interview
Standardized interview, fully virtual, semi-closed file (qualitative information only - no quantitative)

Interview experiences are placed into a designated week chosen by the applicant upon invitation. There is a required asynchronous video component and then required virtual live sessions including small group, large group, and 1:1. Optional in-person building tours of the medical school are also available to interviewees throughout the cycle.
