Prerequisite coursework
- BiochemistryOne course in Biochemistry with lab is required.
- BiologyTwo courses with a grade of B or higher, covering cell biology and genetics (lab experience is highly recommended)
- ChemistryTwo courses in general (inorganic) chemistry, one course in organic chemistry. (Biochemistry is also required and listed separately.)
- Composition & RhetoricWhile there is no specific course requirement, strong writing skills are expected. Courses that involve substantial expository writing (e.g., English, philosophy, history) can enhance writing skills.
- MathematicsOne course in calculus or statistics (biostatistics preferred)
- PhysicsTwo-course sequence covering mechanics, heat, electricity, optics, and radiation physics.

Thursdays and most Fridays between mid- September and February. The interview day program runs from 9:40am until 3:30pm and includes an orientation session, virtual tour led by a current student, student lunchtime panel, and two 30 minute one-on-one open file interviews.
